New York Texas Zipline Adventures

Get your adrenaline fix while taking in some amazing scenery at this exciting zipline tour. Zoom from tree top to tree top over 100 ft from the ground on wires up to 1500 ft. Take a break on the platforms and enjoy incredible 30-mile views across the surrounding landscape.

There are two ziplines tours to choose from, one with 6 lines and the other with 9, and both last approximately two hours. New York Texas Zipline Adventures caters to all ages from 5 years and up, so bring your whole family. Safety is paramount for this adventure, and full training is given before you head out on the tour, and you are always accompanied by an expert guide.

Grapeland Safari

Spend the day on an adventure that doesn’t even require you to leave your car. This safari park gives you the opportunity to drive your own car at your own pace amongst their fascinating animals. Grapeland is home to many species including zebra, buffalo, kangaroo, and Sulcata turtles.

The park is open 7 days a week and admission is just $15.95 per person with children 1 years old and under getting in free. The price includes a free cup of feed for the animals, and some really like to get up close and personal, so don’t be surprised if a nose appears through your window. Opening hours change seasonally so be sure to check before you travel.

Waterpark at the Villages

This wet and wild waterpark is fun for the entire family and can be enjoyed all year round as it’s inside its very own glasshouse. You can relax and float down the lazy river, have an adventure on the large climbing frame and rope bridges, or get some thrills speeding down the four large water slides. There’s a special shallow play area for the little ones to join in, as well as 3 smaller slides, especially for the kids.

Waterpark at the Villages is open all day from 12 pm until 8 pm from Friday to Sunday, so you can enjoy the water at your own pace and make sure you get your fill of fun. Meals, drinks, and snacks are all available but remember to pack your towel as these are not provided by the park.
