Windmill Cafe on the Square

Windmill Cafe on the Square is located at 270 S Commerce St, and they’re open from 6am until 8pm every day of the week. This is a wonderful place for good food, delicious coffee, and a comfortable, inviting ambiance that will keep you coming back often. The place is also spotlessly clean. Their breakfast combos are so affordable: just five to nine dollars, depending on what you want.

You can dine in or take out, but for breakfast, we have to recommend hanging around and eating in. This is the perfect place to stay a while with friends or family. Try their amazing gravy–it’s the best you’ll ever taste. The potatoes are seasoned perfectly, the eggs are never too dry and never runny, and the sausage, bacon, and ham are all delicious. Their grits and biscuits are also not to be missed. We also love the pancake platters they offer, and the chicken fried steak.

Frankston Donuts

If you’re in the mood for something fast, this is a wonderful place for homemade donuts that will make you long for simpler times. The service here is always very fast, which means you won’t have to worry about making it on time for work.

In addition to donuts, they have some really good pigs in a blanket, if you want something that isn’t sweet. We recommend you try their glazed donuts and the blueberry cake donuts. The kolaches are also a great choice.

The Lake Grill

The Lake Grill offers a great breakfast that starts at 9am. You’ll find this at the Lake Palestine Resort north of town, and they’re open from Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast. (While you’re there, you can also get everything you need for your camping vacation in the area.)

We recommend you try the Fisherman’s Big Breakfast, which offers three eggs, three strips of bacon, three pancakes, two sausage patties, and their delicious hash brown casserole. Their breakfast burrito is also outstanding, and you can choose to have it with sausage, ham, or bacon. Their biscuits and gravy are definitely worth trying.

4-Way Cafe

This is an amazing, down-to-earth place to get breakfast. The owners and their staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and everything here is homemade. The coffee is great, and it’s hard to find anything on the menu that isn’t made perfectly.

You simply must try the lemon blueberry pancakes, which are fluffy and delicious. The omelets are also so amazing: you’ll never leave here hungry. The eggs benedict panini is also a winner.
