2023 Chevrolet Tahoe
The Chevrolet Tahoe is an impressive family hauler and adventure-seeking SUV. It can haul many people, and Chevy offers it with three different engines. For the 2023 model year, the Tahoe has three new exterior paint colors to choose from. A different grille that changes the traditional Bowtie grille for a black grille with Chevrolet spelled out in capital letters is now optional for some trims, and GM's Super Cruise technology is now available for the top two trims. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Tahoe LS has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and automatic windshield wipers. Stepping up to the LT adds a hands-free liftgate, while the RST comes with 22-inch black wheels and black exterior trim elements. The Z71 has a more aggressive look with a front skid plate, tow hooks, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and black side steps. Choose the Premier for 20-inch wheels, an auto-dimming driver's side exterior mirror, and chrome exterior accents. At the top of the Tahoe lineup, the High Country comes with 22-inch wheels and bronze accents for the front grille.
Engine (Power)
Power for the entry-level Tahoe models comes from a 5.3-liter V-8 gas engine that puts out 355 horsepower. The RST, Premier, and Z71 offer a 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out 420 horsepower, and this engine comes standard with the High Country. Every model except the Z71 is also available with a 3.0-liter turbo diesel six-cylinder with 277 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with most trims, and four-wheel drive is optional for all models except the Z71, where it comes standard.
Performance
Any of the Tahoe's engines will quickly get it up to highway speed. This large SUV is easy to handle and surprisingly easy to maneuver. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 7,900 pounds.
Interior
The 2023 Chevy Tahoe has options for seven or eight-passenger seating. You can opt for second-row captain's chairs with the Chevy SUV. The Tahoe comes standard with power-adjustable front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and cloth upholstery. Moving up the lineup adds more features, such as driver's seat memory settings, heated seats, and a power-folding third row.
Technology in the Tahoe starts with an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and six USB ports. A Wi-Fi hotspot also comes standard, along with OnStar telecommunications and Bluetooth. Wireless charging comes in the LT and above, and you can also get an upgraded nine-speaker Bose stereo.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Chevy Tahoe comes with several driver safety aids. A forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights come standard. Every Tahoe also has front and rear parking sensors. The Premier adds a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, and the Premier offers the Advanced Technology Package with an automated parking system, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view parking camera. This package also adds rear automatic braking and GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving technology. The High Country also offers a Technology Package with the same features.
