However, if your lifestyle requires a true beast of an engine, you have the option to upgrade any 2023 Silverado to the Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8. You'll get an extra 44 horsepower, for a total of 445, and you'll almost double the torque power to 910 pound-feet. Plus, with the diesel engine upgrade, you'll get a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission.
Performance
You've never met a pickup trunk that is more capable of taking on tough jobs. With the gas engine, you'll be able to tow up to 17,370 pounds, which is plenty of power for even your biggest recreational toys. And for those truly massive ventures, the upgraded diesel engine offers an almost unbelievable 36,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity. Every 2023 Silverado also comes standard with StabiliTrak, which includes electronic trailer sway control and hill start assist, so you can feel confident towing your load no matter the road in front of you.
Interior
