2022 Chevrolet Camaro

Eight trims are offered for the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro: 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. Both convertible and coupe options are available for all trims but the 1LS, which only comes in a coupe. The Camaro rolls down the road on 18-, 19-, or 20-inch wheels, depending on which trim you select, with finishes that include Dark Graphite premium paint or flash-painted aluminum.

Standard exterior features include power outside mirrors, LED running lights, and intermittent front wipers. Optional features only available on certain trims include spear strips, center stripes, and rear-blade or high-wing spoilers. Further customization options include the Accent Exterior Package and the Body-Color Spoiler with Wicker Package.

Across the various trims, four outstanding engines are available for the 2022 Chevy Camaro. For the 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, the standard engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. The manual transmission can be swapped out for an eight-speed automatic transmission if a manual isn't your thing. This engine puts out 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. For all trims but the 1LS, you can upgrade to a 3.6-liter V-6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission to produce 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque.

If you opt for the LT1, 1SS, or 2SS, the default engine is a 6.2-liter V-8 paired with a six-speed manual or, optionally, a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine will churn out 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, the top-of-the-line LZ1 offers a beefy turbocharged 6.2-liter V-8 that generates a whopping 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque for that next-level performance you're looking for in a muscle car.

Performance is paramount for the 2022 Chevy Camaro. Even the entry-level engine has plenty of zip with a zero-to-60 time of sub-six seconds. In addition, you'll find an excellent braking system, athletic handling, and responsive steering. Some of the optional performance features to consider include adjustable performance exhaust, Brembo brakes, electronic slip differential, and an improved powertrain cooling system.

The base 1LS interior features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless entry, a six-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. Opting for the 1LT gets you satellite radio, while the 2LT adds heated and ventilated seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Upgrading to the 3LT adds features such as a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, and driver's seat memory settings. An 8-inch touchscreen is added for the 1SS, while the LZ1 throws in a plush faux-suede-wrapped steering wheel.

Among the standard safety features on the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro are rear parking sensors, a rearview camera mirror, a forward-collision warning, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
