This Silverado HD is a heavy-duty truck that comes in five trims: the WT, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. You can have your preferred trim in a two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive design to suit your needs and tastes. The base model is the WT, which stands for "work truck", and is available in a regular cab, double cab, or crew cab style. This powertrain is mated to an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.

A gas-powered 2021 Silverado 2500 features a maximum payload of 3,979 lbs, while a diesel-powered model offers 3,715 lbs. When equipped with a gooseneck or conventional hitch, this truck boasts a maximum towing capacity of 18,500 lbs.
