2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Inside and out, the Chevy Trailblazer has been updated for 2024 with new technology. Chevy has incorporated new wheel designs and two new colors dubbed Cacti Green and Copper Harbor, giving the Trailblazer the same schnoz as the larger Blazer SUV. It also sports a new front fascia and redesigned headlamps. A brand-new 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that is fixed to a cutting-edge 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster is included as standard equipment inside. It replaces the meager unit from the previous year. Sales of the 2024 model will begin in the autumn of 2023.With a starting price of roughly $25,000, we think the Trailblazer LT is the one to get. It comes standard with the less powerful three-cylinder. But for a little extra, we'd upgrade from the weaker 1.2-liter to the less-weak 1.3-liter and add all-wheel drive, which also brings the nine-speed automatic transmission.

The cabin's design isn't as cheeky as the exterior's, but it's spacious, functional, and outfitted with plenty of convenience items in the upper trims. The driving position is a high, SUV-like perch and there's plenty of space for two adults to be comfortable in the rear seat. Although most of the interior is rendered in black plastic, everything wears an attractive texture to avoid appearing cheap. Upper-level models add colored trim pieces and chrome embellishments that provide a more upscale look. Behind the rear seat is a generous cargo bay, and the Chevy provides not only fold-flat rear seats but also a folding front passenger seat to create space for extra-long items.The Trailblazer features two distinct 1.2-liter and 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engines, just like the Encore GX. The first one makes 137 horsepower, while the second one makes 155 horses. While the 1.3-liter engine offers optional all-wheel drive, the 1.2-liter engine only comes with front-wheel drive and is outfitted with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). When all-wheel drive is selected, a synchronized nine-speed automatic transmission replaces the regular CVT. During testing, a 1.3-liter all-wheel drive Trailblazer's acceleration disappointed as it loped to 60 mph in a lethargic 9.4 seconds. The Trailblazer feels more spirited around town at lower speeds than its test results indicate, but it requires preparation to merge onto the highway or make quick passes.
